Now that XCode 4.5 and iOS 6 is out, I decided to update SLUG Magazine iPhone app to support the new iPhone 5 and removed the ‘for iOS4’ text on the loading screen (which was there throughout the iOS 5 release).<\/p>\n

It only took a couple hours in total to make the minimum changes necessary to achieve 4-inch support, fix the background image and create a new 4-inch version, regenerate all the certificates and provisioning profiles, and get the new compiled app submitted to the app store.<\/p>\n

Though I did leave a whole bunch of details out. The app is still lacking retina images, among other things. We’ll get around to those eventually. Still, it should be a good update and it was nice to keep those iOS processes practiced. <\/p>\n
