{"id":1265,"date":"2014-01-13T19:55:31","date_gmt":"2014-01-14T02:55:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/chriscarey.com\/?p=1265"},"modified":"2015-09-07T20:06:34","modified_gmt":"2015-09-08T04:06:34","slug":"creating-retina-favicons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/chriscarey.com\/blog\/2014\/01\/13\/creating-retina-favicons\/","title":{"rendered":"Creating Retina Favicons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Simple instructions for creating Retina favicon:<\/p>\n<p>Create a 16&#215;16 PNG-24 for your low-res icon<\/p>\n<p>Create a 32&#215;32 PNG-24 for your high-res icon<\/p>\n<p>Head over to <a href=\"http:\/\/convertico.org\/Multi_Image_to_one_icon\/\">http:\/\/convertico.org\/Multi_Image_to_one_icon\/<\/a> and upload those two icons together to create a dual-resource ico file which you rename to favicon.ico.<\/p>\n<p>Upload that favicon.ico in the root of your webroot.<\/p>\n<p>For some reason the meta tag &lt;link rel=&#8221;icon&#8221; href=&#8221;favicon.ico&#8221;&gt; seems to prevent the high-res version from working so I temporarily removed it.
