Im having issues getting afp running on my ATV. Which method did you use?

You need recovery.dmg and MacOSXUpdCombo10.4.9Intel.dmg in your ~/Documents/ folder on the AppleTV.
THEN, run ‘Smart Installer’ from Nito. That feature requires those two files and installs tons of goodies including AFP support.
